Hey guys here is the 575 with new shine technique. (Not sure if you can see the new shine that good here but I can make another video that may show it better if requested.) Also my version of a digital tach, I guess you could call it. Looks pretty good I think. Please leave some comments. 22.7 megs 2fnlowdesignz.us/videos/575shineandtach.rar

Impressive That tach is just what I hoped for the first someone mentioned a digital tach for Heat. And the car looks better than ever Brandon ;D

yea bud, tough to see the shine, especially with the LCD display I have here, but the digital tach is gorgeous ... here's what a little of man's brain thinking can do with options available And now with cockpit dynamically changing the brightness depending on the car's position, it's simply awesome. Plus, there will be a working shifter! Yay! Great job, Brandon, as always! I hope me and Magnus are not the only ones appreciating the efforts ... aight, people?!?

Thanks for the kind words guys. I hope there are others that are appreciating my hard work for this mod as well. I mean I enjoy doing this as a hobby. I don't get paid to sit here and work hours and hours on end...like a lucky few who work for game companies. It is a honor to me in a way to provide people with new things for heat. I know everyone isn't able to make mods for heat...this is why I contribute my talent and knowledge to this game. I will work up a video that shows the new shine this afternoon if I get time. I already have another idea for a mod ;D "Evolution Challenge" featuring the Evo 6,7,8, and 9. I own a Evo 9 MR so I can get all the pictures and specs I need to make this happen. Oh yea X-ter I credit Team Players for the digital Tach info. It took some time to figure out how exactly to make it work but I am thankful they took the time. Hell it took me a day and half to make it work the right way and I have the max file from Team Players If anyone wants to make mention of this mod at other forums and what not feel free to do so. I think most people know about the mod but there are probably still a few who don't. I noticed there are only 8 registered members here so only a handful of people took the time to register and post reply's. This is going to be in the top 10 of heat mods. I promise you guys that. ;D

...... I hope me and Magnus are not the only ones appreciating the efforts ... aight, people?!? I dont know how much people is appreciating and waiting for this mod but........count me in!!! ;D Specially right now I'm feeling on my own skin how hard is to make a mod or a track!! And I realize I couldnt do it alone. That's the most important lesson I learned in years.

Looks awesome: the car, the reflections, the tach and the sounds!!
Might be enough to make me try driving in cockpit view in heat for the first time ;D

I couldn't make out much shine on the car's body at all. Looked to me like it had been disabled ? The digi tach is really nice ! One additional suggestion: as there won't be any numbers like speed/fuel/rpm displayed on the digi tach display (at least I wouldn't know how to ) how about putting there some default static ones ? Or simply dropping that a little darker area in the middle of the didtach display ? Looks a little empty

I been working on a good video for showing shine but I can't get one to show it good enough to post, and for the digi tach...I been doing some hex-working on the patch.bin for a couple days. Trying to move some stuff around. Not going to go into great detail on my progress here but there is a little bit ;D
Ok I will say this I managed to make the game read setups from a different folder location. And I made it quit looking for the .gar files from the .trk files, but I have some bugs with this one...still working on perfecting this.
